This was an identity design I created for a fictitious ballet company. My overall concept became mundane vs. extreme. Grungy intensity behind the scenes versus the overall elegance of the finished show. I wanted the logo to really reflect the sophistication of ballet. It was important that the logo be formal while reflecting the precision, flow, and grace of ballet. The stationary design continued to reflect this sophistication by letting the logo shine through. I used very detailed, rich, and textural photography to create a hypothetical invitation, program, and signage for the company. To solve the problem of ads in the program, I created image spreads that advertisers could sponsor with their logo.
